produced in the body?
The African Bush Viper produces a hemo-toxic venom in its body in which it uses to paralyzes or kill its prey and/or predators. It prevents the clotting of blood of the victim. The viper also produces melanin, a pigmentation produced by the melanocytes and the chromatophores cells. Most african bush vipers are colorful due to hunting and mating reasons, so the melanocytes and the chromatophores in its skin produces melanin to give the snake its colors. insulin is also produced in the body by the pancreas and takes part in the metabolism of the snake.
Energy equation
all animals consume other organisms in order to receive energy (food)., which means that they all practically have the same energy/metabolism equation. there are many different chemical reactions happening during metabolism, cellular respiration being the main part:
C6H12O6 + 6O2 → 6CO2 + 6H2O + energy
cellular respiration happens after the nutrients in the food is broken down by enzymes, and it occurs in the mitochondria in the animals cell. the equation is: glucose + 6 molecules of free oxygen resulting in 6 molecules of carbon dioxide + 6 molecules of water.
in this equation:
inorganic- carbon dioxide (co2), water (h2o)
organic- glucose (c6h1206), free oxygen (o2)

Enzymes act as catalysts in the body and speed up the chemical reactions (metabolism/cellular respiration).
